*More About This Episode* Interview – Darren Moorman, Hollywood Film Producer

Darren Moorman is a seasoned producer and the head of Reserve Entertainment. He has worked with studios that include MGM, Lionsgate, and Paramount Pictures. Darren’s debut film was the 2001 feature All Over Again, starring Craig T. Nelson and Academy Award® nominee Robert Loggia. He founded Reserve Entertainment in 2014.

Reserve Entertainment develops and produces high-quality films and television programming that not only entertains but also brings lasting effects on society and culture. Reserve’s first film was with Paramount Pictures, an adaptation of the New York Times’ bestselling book, Same Kind Of Different As Me. The movie starred Academy Award® nominated actors Renee Zellweger, Greg Kinnear, Djimon Hounsou, and Jon Voight. That was followed by the theatrical releases of

Indivisible and Run The Race. Darren also created and produced the television program Mark Hamill’s Pop Culture Quest with Lionsgate. Reserve Entertainment's latest feature Blue Miracle, which stars Dennis Quaid was a Netflix Original, and has had huge success since its release!

His family comedy,  FAMILY CAMP releases theatrically spring 2022, and he is in post-Production on a feature film entitled SIGHT starring Greg Kinnear. Darren and his wife Krista live in California with their two sons, Eli and Zion.

Takeaways from today’s interview with Darren Moorman:

-As a filmmaker, I want to tell great stories. I want to entertain and hopefully, they all point to God in some wonderful, wonderful way.

-Where you live doesn’t matter anymore, but what does matter is the relationships that you’ve built and how you build them. Very few films are being greenlighted outside of LA or NY.

-It won’t be given to us. As filmmakers, we have to do whatever it takes. We’ve got to be willing to put in the work.

-For me, writing my manifesto and understanding who I was as a film producer and what God wanted me to do with my life was a defining moment. – Darren Moorman
